For the last 21 years this has taken him to many fantastic destinations such as Kenya, Mexico, the Caribbean, Maldives, Switzerland, United Kingdom, the Red Sea, Spain and Cyprus, giving him a vast knowledge and experience.

Jurg is teaching his professional IDC’s through Dive-In, and is the only PADI Course Director which is approved to teach ELC/ELCAS PADI Instructor Development Courses outside the UK.

The IDC’s are running over a period of eight days giving everybody the necessary time to make the progress from an instructional assistant to a fully developed PADI instructor. There is always a three days Pre-IDC Preparation Course to ensure the complete understanding of all subjects. Making the transition from a Co-Pilot into the Captain’s seat is the most important step taught in the Instructor Program. Explaining and understanding the PADI system, and all parts of it, will make the new PADI instructors comfortable and competent. That’s why the educational environment used, is equipped with the most recent teaching tools and all relevant PADI materials on the market.

The course preparation process for the IDC candidates starts well before the PADI Instructor Development Courses. As soon as a booking confirmation for any of the courses is received, the candidates will receive study guidelines to get the dive theory, and the dive skills up to the required level, directly from Jurg. This ensures that everybody can focus on the new information provided on the instructor course, without any distraction.

After the successful completion of the IDC, Jurg can offer all PADI Instructor Specialty Courses, Self-Reliant Diver, and Public Safety Diver programs,  EFR Instructor and EFR First Aid at Work Instructor Programs and all DAN (Divers Alert Network) Training Courses, as well as technical diving course.
