EFR Primary (CPR) & Secondary Care First Aid Course

We are living in a very hectic and ignorant world. Where have the promises gone from the times of the boy scouts. Now here is a way to make up for all those lost memories. Become a Emergency First Responder and learn how to help somebody in need. Whether it is just a little scrap or a serious car crash. You will be confident in responding to the urgent requirements of a casualty and bridge important time till the Emergency Medical Services arrive.

EFR Care for Children

The Emergency First Response Care for Children course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how they differ from adult conditions. Emergency First Response Instructor Course/First Aid at Work Instructor Course

Interested in teaching First Aid yourself?? Please ask us for our Emergency First Response Instructor Information Pack. You don't have to be a diver or an instructor of any kind to enrol in this program.

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses

DAN - Divers Alert Network

Divers Alert Network DAN is a not for profit organisation and provides expert information and advice for the benefit of the diving public. DAN provides comprehensive training which is educationally valid and consistent with the current literature. DAN is developing programmes and materials which complement currently and available dive safety training throughout the diving community.

DAN Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies

This program trains you how to respond and provide oxygen first aid for drowning accidents. This is the ideal program for Pool attendants and life guards. Understanding the role and function of the respiratory and circulatory systems in the human body and the identification and major causes of aquatic accidents are taught in the program. Explanation, description and mechanism of drowning and the benefits of oxygen first aid to the victim. Demonstrate competency in rescue breathing and CPR and identify the indications for supplemental oxygen first aid use as well as the correct response of a breathing and non breathing swimmer with circulation and without circulation.

DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries

A lot of divers are trained in Oxygen Administration, but by far not enough. Every diver should be familiar with the first aid procedures and oxygen administration for an injured diver. The course will show the mechanism of diving injuries and how to recognise diving injuries as well as the proper response should you come across diving injuries. The oxygen provider also knows how to respond with oxygen in order to provide immediate and effective first aid and is able to communicate with the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and DAN.

DAN Medical Oxygen Rebreather

The DAN Medical Oxygen Rebreather (MO2R) Training Module is an additional training module for those individuals who have successfully completed the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course within the past 12 months. It trains DAN Oxygen Providers to recognise diving injuries where a MO2R System will be an effective method of providing emergency oxygen first aid and how to assemble and provide emergency oxygen first aid using a MO2R.

The MO2R System will benefit a responsive and breathing injured diver where there is substantial distance to the nearest medical facility or delay to the next level of emergency response. A MO2R is designed to provide high concentrations of emergency oxygen for up to eight hours.

 DAN Advanced Oxygen First Aid

This program intends to teach the Oxygen Provider the skills and knowledge needed to supplement Basic Life Support and CPR skills with advanced resuscitation techniques to assist any diver who is not breathing. During the course you will review the latest guidelines for Basic Life Support, Resuscitation and CPR techniques. You also learn the potential problems of resuscitation with a Bag Valve Mask (BVM) and the Manually Triggered Ventilator (MTV) and to resuscitate non breathing divers with the Bag Valve Mask (BVM) and the Manually Triggered Ventilator (MTV).

DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

Serious marine life injuries are rare, but many divers will experience minor discomfort at some point during their diving. This course trains divers to minimize these injuries and reduce discomfort and pain. It also provides knowledge on specific types of injuries and the general first aid procedures for them. The program also includes identification and how you can avoid hazardous marine life as well as recognizing of the possible injuries caused by the hazardous marine life.

 DAN Automated External Defibrillation

This training program is designed to train and educate the general diving public and qualified non diving public in the techniques of using an Automated External Defibrillator for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. The training also includes a revision of the Basic Life Support techniques. Recognizing the warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest and provides Basic Life Support while setting up and then use an Automated External Defibrillator as well as the care and maintenance procedures for an AED.

DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider / DAN Diving First Responder

DAN offers several dive-specific first aid training programs. Because these courses are often taught independently, there is repetitive information and skills. The Diving Emergency Management Provider and the Diving First Responder Course allows DAN Instructors to offer an integrated course that allows divers to learn the information and skills from all DAN Training Programs, at a significant savings of time, but without sacrificing any skills. While the Diving Emergency Management Provider course combines the Oxygen, AED and HMLI course, the DAN Diving First Responder course also includes the skills and knowledge from the Advanced Oxygen Provider course.

DAN On-site Neurological Assessment for Divers

This course, On-Site Neurological Assessment for Divers, is an advanced-level program that provides additional training for those individuals who have successfully completed the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course within the past two years (24 months).

DAN Basic Life Support

The DAN Basic Life Support (BLS) course will not only train divers and non-divers to resuscitate an injured person with a circulatory arrest, but can also prevent a person from getting in that condition. External bleeding, choking and shock can lead to severe circulatory and respiratory problems. The DAN BLS course will prepare you to react in the correct way, when accidents happen.

DAN First Aid

The DAN First Aid course represents training designed to educate persons with a CPR/BLS certification in providing First Aid to adult victims with non-immediately life threatening injuries.

Although the course was designed to be taught together with the DAN BLS course, it can also be offered as extra module to those who already have a DAN BLS or other BLS certification, respecting ERC guidelines. In a real accident situation First Aid skills are the next step after providing effective BLS.
